4-day week this time. I chose to do contrasting colors. Super straight forward color-theory rules here: yellow/purple, blue/orange, red/green.
I haven’t told anyone at work what I’m doing, but I’ve been getting pretty consistently positive feedback on my outfits, which is good! No one seems to think I’m being unprofessional or dressing too flashy. This week was, in my opinion, the first true test of how much I could get away with in a traditional, formal business environment. I wore a lot of bright colors and the contrasts definitely stood out against what my co-workers wear.
Here they are!
Tuesday
Top: J.Crew, Skirt: J.Crew, Shoes: Tahari
I’m very J.Crew, apparently.
Wednesday
I tried really hard not to be incredibly Christmas with this particular contrast. I *think* it went okay.
Goddamn Cape: J.Crew, Top: New Look, Skirt: No idea but bought at Dillard’s Clearance, Shoes: Dr. Scholl’s, Necklace: No idea
Thursday
This was my favorite outfit of the week. Also the one that got the most compliments.
Top: J. Crew, Skirt: No idea but purchased at Dillard’s Clearance, Shoes: Calvin Klein, Earrings: J.Crew, Necklace: Chelsea Market NYC
Friday
Woohoo! Slightly more casual Friday. But not really. I went with black and white for my final day of contrast, an always classic color combo.
Top: Southern Lady, Pants: Gap, Shoes: Kelsi Dagger, Necklace: Chelsea Market NYC
