Happy Sunday. This week contained the final day of winter, March 19th. To celebrate, I dedicated a theme to all things warm and comfy. It’s sweater week!
Primarily my focus was to wear my favorite sweaters. Some of these are fairly oversized and schlumpy. That’s not a word, but I really feel like it describes their essence. As always, it was a fun challenge attempting to professionalize the clothing I chose.
Let’s get into it.
Monday
This one was a weird one. I had a hard time getting this yellow sweater to fit well. It was a little too loose and free-flowing to pair with the thin material of the skirt and it also didn’t want to behave well with the chambray underneath.
Sweater: Forever21, Top: J.Crew, Skirt: Dillard’s Clearance, Shoes: Tahari, Necklace: Chelsea Market NYC
Tuesday
I feel like I’ve had this sweater forever. It’s been through a lot with me. I really enjoy its over-sizedness and the little attached white undershirt thing. This outfit felt very me.
Sweater: J.Crew, Pants: Everlane, Shoes: Antonio Melani, Necklace: Flea Market in Omaha
Wednesday
Heheh, I loved this outfit. So witchy. The sleeves of this sweater have a bell shape outward before tightening at the wrist, which I really enjoy. Plus I got to wear my Rothys, which are my new go-to easy shoe that goes with everything.
Sweater: Free People, Skirt: The Limited, Shoes: Rothys, Necklace: Chelsea Market NYC
Thursday
Sweater dressssss. Love this. It’s one of the softest dresses I own. And it’s from ASOS. Can’t believe its quality. It was such a great find.
Sweater dress: Esprit, Shoes: Monkl, Belt: J.Crew
Friday
Wooh! SunTrust adopted a ‘dress for your day’ clothing policy. Which means on Fridays I can get away with being more casual. Those are jeans! So exciting. This felt almost like a standard outfit I would wear on the weekends. I really happy about the policy change. Hopefully it means I can take some more risks in my clothing choices for work, in the future.
