Hello everyone. It’s Linda Rodin week. It’s also Krysten week. My friend Krysten visited for a cancer research conference (what up, AACR). She was very gracious and allowed me to look through all the clothing she brought and style her for the 4 days she attended.
So in addition to my original theme, I will be posting Krysten’s looks, as well!
Back to your regularly scheduled program…
Linda Rodin was model in Italy in the 1960s. Since then, she’s become a fashion icon around the world. She has an incredibly effortless, chic style. One of the things I love is that she perfectly mixes classic pieces- that could really be in anyone’s closet- with completely funky details. Her actual fits are incredible. I swear, this woman has the best tailor in the world. Based on this week and my research of her, I think I’m definitely going to be reusing some of these outfits for my own more casual weekend nights.
Also, the girl doesn’t like heels. It’s wonderful. My feet really enjoyed this week.
Here are some excellent pictures of the woman.

Anyway. Here are some pictures of me and my beautiful, smart friend Krysten. I don’t know her clothing brands, but in the case where I supplemented outfits with my own pieces, I’ll try and provide as much info as possible.
Sunday
This was Krysten’s first day of conference. Had a nice little introduction party, so she chose this standout beautiful dress, which she brought. I BELIEVE it’s an Antonio Melani.
Dress: Antonio Melani?, Belt (mine): J.Crew, Necklace (mine): Robyn Rhodes
Monday
Look at us. Little professionals together. Krysten’s color palette (both skin tone and personal preference) lends itself to whites and blues, so we have a couple outfits with that color story. As for me, It’s 70s mod wide leg pants and long sleeve tops all the way down.
Top (mine): TopShop, Skirt: The Limited, Cardigan (mine): Banana Republic, Necklace (mine): Chelsea Market in NYC

Top: J.Crew, Pants: , Boot: Schellys London, Necklace: Chelsea Market in NYC
Tuesday
Krysten got so cute and professional Tuesday. I got so cute and platformy.
Blazer (mine): Ann Taylor, Sorry I have no idea where the other pieces are from
Top: Thrifted, Pants: Gap, Shoes: Messeca New York
Wednesday
This was Krysten’s final day of conference 😦
She stayed with me and Jack for the rest of the week, which was amazing, but I was sad to no longer be styling her. She was such a good sport and she brought some really great pieces. We both loved this dress and its SLEEVES ❤
My outfit felt very me. Very simple, straightforward fit and pieces with pop of color.
Necklace (mine): Francescas
Top: Thrifted brand called Southern Lady, Pants: Everlane, Shoes: Madewell, Necklace: made by my friend Emma!
Thursday
Back to just me. Sorry guys.
This was a favorite outfit of the week for me, though. I’ma start wearing these little bow tie things all the damn time now. It was just a belt that came with a dress that I realized I was never going to wear with the dress, but I’m grateful I didn’t throw it away.
Top: Forever21, Pants: Ann Taylor, Blazer: J.Crew, Shoes: Monkl, Bow-Tie Thing: Vince Camuto
Friday
Seriously. When I was researching Linda Rodin’s style, I saw the platfrom shoe and just ran with it. Any excuse to wear them for me.
Dress: Daisy Street, Sweater: Frank and Oak, Shoes: Nurture, Belt: Nations Leather, Watch: D1 Milano, Earring: My mom’s
Super fun week! I hope you all liked it, too!
