To start, my first week of this experiment went fairly well, except for the actual documentation. I chose a single pair of heels to wear every day of the week. A pair of neutral, suede block heels.
But I forgot to save pictures of outfits from every day that week. I will post what I have from that week, and I’ll try to at least identify the location from which I bought the pieces. We’ll see how it goes.
Let’s begin. Here are the shoes in question.

Brand: 1.State, Purchased: Dillard’s Clearance (Council Bluffs, IA)
These seemed like an easy pair of shoes to match with lots of outfits. I only kept pictures of 3 of 5 outfits that week.
Monday
Pants: Everlane, Button-up: J.Crew, Sweater: Thrifted, Necklace: Chelsea Market NYC
Thursday
Skirt: No idea on brand but purchased at Dillard’s Clearance, Cardigan: Thrifted, Top: Max Studio, Watch: Skagen
Friday
Skirt: Anthropologie, Blazer: Ann Taylor, Top: Ann Taylor, Necklace: francesca’s
Week went pretty well. I told my co-worker I was doing it. She seemed a little concerned for my shoes, wearing them every day that week. She seemed to come around by the final day, though.
This project is really more for my own sanity/creative expression than anything else. But I’m hoping the documentation can be helpful to others, whether it can maybe inspire others for a little more creative outfit choices or work as a ‘what no to do’. Hopefully there’s value for someone.
